Eliza + Thomas {day after}

OK, really it was quite some time after the wedding but “quite some time after the wedding session” doesn’t have the same ring to it.  They were as gorgeous as ever…

Devra + Brian {san francisco engagement session}

I always suggest doing engagement sessions before the wedding because not only do you get some awesome and casual couples portraits but you get to know your wedding photographer.  You know, the person who will be trailing you all day, who is likely to see you in your underwear and who will be interacting with your family and friends?  Whom you are trusting to preserve some of your most important memories?  Yeah, that person. (I’m a little uncertain about my “who” and “whom” use in those sentences.  Anyone?  Megan?)

So Devra and Brian live in NYC but Devra is from the Bay Area and they are getting married in Napa in August.  We had only spoken on the phone and exchanged emails so it was really nice to get to meet them in person before the big day (see above).  We wandered around getting some city shots and then headed toward the Golden Gate Bridge for some more casual photos.  They were really, really fun and not unlike superheros – leaping tall buildings in a single bound!  Without futher ado…

Shannon + Jessup {san francisco engagement session}

I seriously get the funnest couples.  Shannon and Jessup are no exception – in fact, they may be the rule!  They joked around but they only had eyes for each other and there were lots of sweet, beautiful moments.  We went to the Ferry Building and then to the place that Jessup proposed.  It was under construction (and completely dark outside) the last time they were there so we took a guess as to the exact spot of the proposal and snapped a few shots.  No doubt their wedding is going to be full of love and laughter!

Caitlin + Mike {san francisco engagement session}

I met with Caitlin and Mike waaay back in 2008.  Then the holidays hit.  Now it’s 2009 and I’m finally getting a chance to post a few of their photos.  We met at Crissy Field and they brought along their yellow lab… and Mike’s mom to lend a hand when Summer got out of hand.  It was the only sunny day in weeks and, since these 2 live in Southern California, it was a happy thing!  I can’t wait for your wedding in April – too bad Summer can’t be there!

Lindsay + Ty {sausalito wedding reception}

Lindsay and Ty decided to skip the pomp and circumstance of a big wedding and elope. They were married on February 29 and last week they joined friends and family at Ondine in Sausalito to celebrate their newly wedded bliss. And blissful they were – their love really shined through and their family and friends were so fun. My abs got a (much needed) workout from all the laughing we did.
