Sheila + Colin: Half Moon Bay wedding photography

I love a small wedding.  City Hall weddings are fun, especially here in San Francisco where we are lucky enough to have an absolutely amazing City Hall.  But Sheila and Colin’s weekday beach wedding takes the cake (no pun intended, there wasn’t a cake) for being really special.  Just the 2 of them and their closest family members.  And me, trying my hardest to be a fly on the rock.  It was amazing.

Susanne + Ryan: Malibu wedding photography (part two)

Yes, there’s more.  Lots more.  Check out all the fun details from Susanne and Ryan’s wedding…

Susanne + Ryan: Malibu wedding photography (part one)

I didn’t think I could be any more fond of these two than I was after photographing their engagement session.  Well, then they went and had a totally awesome and fun carnival inspired wedding filled with love and popcorn and ferris wheels and the most kick ass first dance you ever did see.  Oh, and I did I mention the vegetarian dinner?  YUM.

There are too many to fit into one post so stayed tuned for part two!

Jaime + Matt: Sonoma wedding photography

Colleen + Matt: Berkeley engagement session

Louise + Andrew: San Francisco engagement session

I’m playing catch up and many of these sessions are from the summer – Louise and Andrew’s happened to be on a classically foggy San Francisco summer day.  We met at the Ferry Building and it only seemed natural to start off with some oysters and wine.  Yum!  Let the fun begin!

Here and there

A few months ago I gave some wedding photography advice to 2 Magazine for an iPad app they were developing.  I haven’t checked out the app (I’m still waiting for a good excuse to by an iPad) but it might be a good resource for those nearlyweds out there.

There’s also a newish blog out there called Bustle and Flow “full of pretty distractions for the modern, city bride.”  Alicia featured Charlotte and Dominic’s City Hall wedding a few weeks ago.

Susanne + Ryan: Los Angeles engagement session

I met Susanne and Ryan for the first time when we did this session and we had the best time wandering around their (then current, now old) neighborhood, Los Feliz. There were great places to shoot around every corner and we started out in their apartment, went to their local movie theater and then to the Hollyhock House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) and on up to the Griffith Observatory (where we had not one but two run ins with the security guards.)

I’m just going to come right out and say it – I love these guys! If they didn’t live 5 hours away, I would totally invite myself over for dinner.
