San Francisco weather can be dicey and January is known to be rainy so I half (OK, more than half) expected to be doing all of Ayumi and Nate's photos indoors. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. The weather in SF has been usually warm and sunny and, while in the grand scheme that might not be a good thing, it was perfect for Ayumi and Nate's wedding. We started downtown at the Westin, moved to the intersection at Green & Mason then on to the Legion of Honor and Crissy Field. The ceremony was at the lovely Chapel of Our Lady in the Presidio and the reception was at the Mandarin Hotel back downtown. I think I drove about 30 miles (in a city that is only 49 square miles) but it was well worth it! Patty from 8events kept everyone on schedule and a big thanks to Annie Florin for second shooting with me! Ayumi and Nate were willing to see each other before the ceremony which gave us lots of time for photos and meant that they didn't feel rushed in the time between the ceremony and the reception. The result was a lot of really beautiful photos at a variety of locations. And they still had a special moment - Ayumi came down the stairs behind Nate and when she reached the bottom he turned around to see her... wow. All couples should consider doing it this way! Anyway, on to a few photos... And the slideshow is here.
